UHI MACHINERY CANADA WARRANTY

UHI Machinery is committed to providing excellent products and the highest quality. UHI Machinery’s New Product Warranty detailed in this document exhibits our confidence in our product.

This warranty covers all parts and components, exclusive of wear and tear parts, provided the owner maintains and services the unit as described in the Operator’s Manual. Distance technical support over email/ phone call is to be conducted by UHI Canada technicians or an agent appointed by UHI.

Warranty coverage on your UHI Machinery product starts upon delivery of the product.

Maintenance Records

We advise you to retain certifications and records of regular unit maintenance. These

documents are very important and can help determine the cause of a malfunction, should one occur.

Warranty Period

The Warranty goes into effect after the date of purchase and the expiration date will be shown on our website.

The Warranty covers repairs to correct any unit defects related to materials or workmanship existing at the time of purchase. All requests must be approved by UHI Machinery before any work being performed during the Warranty Period. Specific exceptions to the Warranty are listed in the Exclusions section.

UHI Machinery will provide repairs to the unit during the Warranty Period in accordance with the Terms, Limitations, and Conditions. This is the sole Warranty provided by UHI Machinery.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

Depreciation, damage, malfunction caused by normal wear, lack of reasonable and proper

maintenance, improper servicing, failure to follow operating instructions, misuse, lack of proper protection during storage

Depreciation or damage caused by accident

Equipment that has been altered or modified in ways not approved by UHI, including, but not limited to, setting injection fuel delivery pump higher or lower than UHI specification

Failure to use the proper fuel, lubricants, or other maintenance items as described in the operator’s manual

Addition or replacement of chemical weight materials

Regular maintenance services such as:

adjustments (cables, linkages, pressures, etc),

Transportation charges. However, on machines purchased within 30 days or 30 working hours, UHI will subsidize travel costs for warranty repairs on the units, up to a maximum of 200 km ($300) one-way, or 400 km ($600) round trip.

Damage resulting from a natural calamity beyond human control such as fire, flood, etc.

Replacement of regular maintenance items such as light bulbs, pre-heater elements, filter

elements, injector nozzle assembly, clutch disc/pressure plate/release bearings, brakes/parking brakes lining, oil and lubricants, coolants, belts, drive chains, rubber, resin, broken glass, cutting blades, bucket cutting edge and teeth, etc.

Damage resulting from the use of unapproved implements and accessories

Rust and paint issues are not included in the warranty

Repairs defined in a service bulletin past the warranty terms of the product or bulletin

Repairs to any unit that has been reported stolen or damaged and considered a total loss.

Equipment not sold by UHI Earthmoving Equipment Inc.

Terms, Limitations, and Conditions

Maintenance

All units require periodic maintenance, as outlined in the unit’s Operation Manual, and it is the customer’s responsibility to perform regular maintenance. Failure to properly maintain the unit and perform regular maintenance may void the Warranty.

Damage from Accident, Misuse, or Alteration

Damage or failure caused by an object striking the unit, fire, theft, freezing, environmental

exposure, exceeding the duty cycle, modifying or altering the unit, and/or any other misuse is

not covered under the Warranty. Damage or failure due to acts of god (flood, tornado, etc.) or acts of war are not covered under the Warranty.

Extra Expenses

Economic loss or extra expense due to unit damage/failure is not covered under the Warranty. Under no circumstances is UHI Machinery liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages due to unit damage or failure.

Disclaimer

UHI Machinery makes no other warranty, express or implied, and specifically disclaims any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Suggestions concerning the use of products are not warranties. The customer is responsible for determining the suitability of products and appropriate use. UHI Machinery’s sole liability for breach of warranty, negligence, or otherwise shall be the repair of the unit as specified in this Warranty.

Other Terms

UHI Machinery does not authorize any person or persons to create any other obligation or liability in connection to this unit. Any shipping damage should be brought to the attention of both the freight carrier and UHI Machinery as soon as possible.
